Respiratory Illness Guidance (FLU/RSV/COVID-19/Etc.)

Effective 9/2/24

Anyone with Symptoms and/or a Fever

 

Stay home and away from others for at least 24 hours after:

 -Symptoms are getting better overall.  AND

 -Have not had a fever and are not using fever reducing medication.

 

If there is a Known Exposure

 

-Watch for symptoms and test if symptoms arise. Children will be sent home with   symptoms and are asked to maks if over the age of 2 until pickup.

-If no symptoms arise, it is best to test between day 3 and day 5 from exposure. Masks are not required but can be worn as a layer of protection by anyone age 2 and up.

 

If you Test Positive for Respiratory Illness – Alert the SPCCC Office

 

Stay home and away from others until at least 48 hours after:

 -Symptoms are getting better overall.  AND

-Have not had a fever and are not using fever reducing medication. If test is positive, but has no symptoms, stay out for 48 hours.

 

 

This will help limit the spread of Respiratory Illnesses, such as FLU/RSV/COVID-19/Etc..

 

After required absence, resume normal activities and use added protection (required: masks for 2 years old and up for next 5 days).
